Ford 8N Pto Shaft Removal. If you can move it as much as 1/8 you need to pull the shaft by draining the oil from the differential and removing the four pto housing retaining bolts then pulling on the shaft to remove it from the tractor. Unbolt 4 nuts on back side of brake dust shield that hold the seal and bearing securly in place.
