John Deere 1070 Clutch Adjustment. Check the oil cooler is not blocked from dust /dirt or other debris. The plate can be rusted to the flywheel or the pressure plate.
When ordering the valve gaskets get the transmission sn off the plate on the rh side of the tranny as there a couple serial number breaks on those tractors. If i recall right this tractor is known for having clutch wear problems and pto issues. It is normally better to have it free before you try to take it apart.

The clutch will engage but not enough to get it in gear. Reply to | quote reply | add photo. I am not sure which clutch plate is next to the flywheel on this tractor.
John deere 850, 950 & 1050 tractors service repair shop manual. I can shove the shifter into gear (1st or reverse), but it wont stop moving even with the clutch pedal in. If i recall right this tractor is known for having clutch wear problems and pto issues.
John deere 1020, 1520, 1530,. The john deere 1070 is a 2wd or 4wd compact utility tractor from the 70 compact series. You should be able to start it in gear if the safety swith is in the clutch if not you may.
